NYX Girly

Just a quick post here. I here's a swatch of NYX Girly. For the price I paid ($1.59 at our local grocery store, yes, grocery store) for this polish, I say that its pretty awesome! The application was smooth and opaque at two coats. For this swatch, I did three coats.
NYX Girls: Girly
Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
Top Coat: Seche Vite
Photo: Daylight, Indoor, No Flash

And now to Konad it out...
Konad IP m79 & m26
Glitter: Milani Nail Art Polish in Art of Silver.
Top Coat: Seche Vite

What colors do you lean towards when buying polishes? Pinks, Reds, Blue, Purples, Sheer, Glittery, etc...I'd love to know what everyone is wearing now days. I lean on buying the blues...I don't know why, I just do. =)

Date Night

Ok, with all the excitement with the Hard Candy haul I just had, I overlooked how beautiful Date Night really is. After all the swatching and picture taking this morning, I decided on wearing Date Night because it was an overall pretty color and its been a while since I wore something glittery (besides my first holo). So this is what I sported today:
It's like looking at a new diamond ring under the sun!
Photo: Daytime, Outdoor, no flash

This is just to show you how sparkly it is.
Photo: Afternoon, Indoor Window, flash

A smooth application with really fine glitters. I can't tell but I think it has a clear base. This polish has so much glitter packed in there that it is it's own color. I needed more than 3 coats to make this opaque (I stopped counting after 3 hehe) but it looks beautiful even when it's sheer. This is something I would definitely wear on a date night ;)
At the end of my day, these nails were screaming Konad!
I kept it cute and simple and added a little bling to it.
I used Konad's white special nail polish and IP m56.
Added rhinestones and topped it with some Seche Vite.
Photo: Evening, Indoor, Artificial lighting, no flash.
Hope you like it!

Any suggestions on my next post? Color, konad, you tell me...I'll be glad to give 'em a try.

Hard Candy Haul (picture heavy)

I got really excited for Diana's Hard Candy Giveaway that I needed to go check out my local Wal-mart to see if we had the brand in store. Before I entered this giveaway, I never noticed that they carried nail polishes in that brand; but when i got to the store, omg! they were too cute to pass out on so I had to get me a few just to try.

Here's the swatches on my nails. The colors are true to the image in real life.

This was a lovely blue but on my nails, it seemed kind green like teal color. I tried to capture it in the picture but i kept giving me this blue. Otherwise a pretty color.

A pretty neutral color.

Extra photos I took. Click to enlarge.

All the colors were beautiful. I wish I bought it all but my budget didn't fit the price for all at the time so the rest will have to wait. I liked the creaminess of the formula but I wish it wasn't so runny. Don't get me wrong...even though they were runny, the cream colors applied very opaque and I was able to achieve complete coverage with two coats. As for the shimmer and glitter colors, its expected that it'll take more than just two coats to make them opaque. Overall, I love it and I'd buy them all! Perhaps I'll win the giveaway and not have to get the rest ^_^. Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!

Konad m39 & m36 on Fierce Purple

I absolutely love this purple. NYX Fierce Purple, a cream finish and a lovely shade. This was 3 coats. You could still see streaks at 2 but it evens out at 3. I topped it with konad IP m39. (note: the pointer finger was stamped with a different design also on the m39 plate. I was experimenting ;))

Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
Main Color: NYX Fierce Purple
Konad IP m39 in white special polish
Top Coat: Seche Vite

Here's another design with the same Fierce Purple being the main color.

My first Holo

This is Milani's Hi-Res Holographic 3D nail polish and I love it! This is my first holo polish and my first with the Milani brand. At three coats, it did me good. The color is so pretty I couldn't keep my eyes off of it! Look at the glittery goodness on that! The polish is true to its color on the bottle and was a breeze to apply. Btw, this was taken indoors, with artificial lighting, with flash (to show the holo effect).

I kept this on for a good three days and no chipping. Of couse I used Seche Vite top coat (I love this stuff!). I didn't want to wait another day to give it the chance to peel or chip so I decided to make it a konadicure (is that what you call it?) i'm still new to this.

Hope you liked it!

NYX nail polish haul, Burt's Bee, and NOTD

I just couldn't resist on passing on this purchase. At $1.59 a bottle, you can't go wrong! I was so happy =)

Excited as I was when I got home, I couldn't wait to try out the polishes. They don't even have a top coat on! i just wanted to take a picture of it. This one is with NXY's Woman and Dynamic Glitter.

I wanted to share my beloved cuticle cream that I can't leave the house without. I love how it quenches my cuticles when they're dry. And the smell...oh the smell, just so lemon-y fresh!

I'd like to do a giveaway soon but I don't know what to giveaway...of course nail polish (duh) but as far as what brand and other extras. The reason for the giveaway? Just because i'm feeling a bit generous. So please a little help on what would be a great first giveaway! =)
