4 Years Ago Today.

Itching to do a GIVEAWAY & Ruby Pumps

On May 27th, I will be married for 4 years! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! And by August 11, hubby and I will make a whopping 10 years together! I am blessed to say that I stuck with the right guy ;). With that said, I feel so happy I wanna share some of that with you! I've been itching to do a giveaway but I'm not sure how to get it out there yet...so I think I'll give it some time until May 27th to officially put together all the goodies but as a sneak peak, here's what I have so far...

Personally, I haven't tried them out yet, but I just bought some for myself yesterday so I'll be doing swatches for those soon.

Since this will be my first giveaway, I want it to be good...good as in I want to add stuff that polish lovers actually want to win! That's why I NEED YOUR HELP. Let me know what are some products you'd like to see in this giveaway (of course, for time's sake it'd be something that I can find locally where I wouldn't need to wait for shipping if I ordered online so that I can get his going by the 27th). I'll let you know of course if I can't get that certain brand. I'm super excited for this and I hope you are too!

In the mean time, here's China Glaze's Ruby Pumps

This polish was really easy to apply. The color is such a pretty red, I love it on me ;) It has a red base with tiny, fine glitters. I had to put two coats of seche vite to get the feel of a smooth top coat. I love it otherwise.
I took the picture last night because I couldn't wait till morning ^_^ but the color is pretty accurate in the picture above. This was taken indoor, under artificial lighting without flash.

Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy Topped with Nail Tek Foundation II
Top Coat: two applications of Seche Vite
Photo: Indoor, Under Light, with Flash.

So, I hope to see those comments for the giveaway =) I need your input to make this work! Thanks guys...I mean, Gals :)

You Don't Know Jacques & Chocolate Taupe Dupe? (Picture Heavy)

NYX's Chocolate Taupe a dupe for OPI's You Don't Know Jacques? Let's see and find out:

**All Images Clickable**
On the Spotlight

NYX Chocolate Taupe
Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
3 coats, No top coat

Day Light, Indoors, No Flash

OPI You Don't Know Jacques
Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
No Top Coat
Day light, Indoors, No flash

Looking at the photos separately, you would say that these aren't dupes because one is darker than the other. So I decided to put them together side by side to really see the big difference. Base Coat: OPI NE and no topcoat.

Indoors, no flash

Day light, indoors, with flash

They looked pretty much the same to me. The finish was almost the same except for YDKJ had a higher shine than CT. If you look real close though and stare at it for a while, you'll notice that YDKJ is slightly darker than CT. But seriously, I could go out and where it together like this and no one will notice! Unless it's someone with a magnifying glass observing every detail on my nails, then I'd be really weirded out..wwwaaayyy too close to my personal space. The verdict? I'd say they're dupes. Yay! A $1.59 bottle (NYX) comparable to a $8.50 bottle (OPI)!

So what do you think? Do you have in your stash a possible dupe that might compare to YDKJ?
---------------------------------------------------------------

And here, a little mishap with my sneaky two year old boy.
So I just finished swatching these colors and left my polish on my table. My son feeling sneaky, takes my YDKJ polish, sees me eying him out, and tries to hide it behind his back. I asked him for it back nicely but he thought it would be fun to make a run for it. And OMG, did he run... into our warehouse, drops the polish by accident, and comes running back in the house with a sad look on his face knowing he's gonna get it from me. I already figured what happened and went to access the scene and this is what I saw...

I was sooo sad...
The poor polish didn't even have a chance to fully cover all my nails!

I wanted to scold and yell at my son but was too sad to do that. But then I saw my bottle of Chocolate Taupe...((smiles & shrugs)). I couldn't get mad at my two year old over a broken bottle of polish (even at the cost of $8.50 + tax). He saw how sad I was and gave me hug and told me sorry. On the brighter side of things, I have Chocolate Taupe to keep me happy for a while before I buy another bottle of YDKJ, and I was able to swatch it for you before it broke.

Have a Happy Hump-Day Wednesday! Friday is halfway there! =)

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's out there! This is for you!

As for me, I already have it all! My little bundle of joy who never seizes to amaze me! The only one who notices the different nail polish on my fingers and tells me "wow mommy, pretty" lol. My little one who is such a handful but so good when I'm doing my nails. I am truely blessed!

"Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother."
My Kingston Lee ♥

On another note, here are my nails today.
China Glaze-For Audrey
Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
Konad IP: s9
On the tip: Milani Nail Art in Art of Silver
Top Coat: Seche Vite

For Audrey was opaque at two coats and a beautiful cream color. It was a little too bright for my liking but otherwise a beautiful color especially now that summer is on its way. =) By the way, my cuticles love CND's Solar Oil.

Happy Mother's Day. Be safe and enjoy it with the people you love!
