Hello, Hello Kitty: Tutorial & Giveaway (pic heavy) [CLOSED]

Yes, you read it right. This post is a tutorial and a GIVEAWAY! Yay! So read on...

With all the hype today with "Hello Kitty" this, and "Hello Kitty" that, I was subdued by it's cuteness and couldn't resist on doing a mani, a tutorial, and a giveaway (my second one!) for all you lovely readers. =)

Base Coat: Nail Envy

Base Color: NYX Fierce Purple

Nail Art: Hello Kitty Nail Art Stickers

Top Coat: Seche Vite

The application for this mani was sssooooo easy, I'd like to show you how I did it...

Prep your nails prior to the fun part: on clean nails, 

- apply your base coat; allow to dry

- apply your base color; allow to dry

and then the fun part...

These are the nail art stickers/tatoos I used.

I selected the image I wanted to use

Using  tweezers (or your fingers--it doesn't matter),
I dipped the image into water for 5-10 seconds.

Remove from water and slide the image off the paper
backing.

Apply carefully on desired nail(s) and gently force out the
water between the sticker/tatoo and you nail. Add your
favorite top coat and you're good to go!

Let's Go Lakers! Ready for Game 7 & Giveaway Update

So I haven't posted for a while and honestly, I've just been too lazy and no inspiration...but I am still here =)
First, about the giveaway...here's an update on it: It's still going. You have 3 more days to enter! I've added two of my fave stuff to my giveaway.. Nail Envy Nail Strengthener (which I like to use as a base coat) and Solar Oil Cuticle Oil.

And now for the fun stuff. Since tonight is Game 7 Lakers vs. Celtics, I thought it would be fun to show some team spirit! I love the color purple and Kobe is pretty hott ;).

The design on my thumb and ring finger was inspired from this youtube video. I used no name polishes from ICING for the purple and the yellow,  OPI Chop-Sticking to My Story for the basketball and Konad Image Plate m52 for the basket ball print and ball. I hope you enjoyed this!

Itching to do a GIVEAWAY & Ruby Pumps

On May 27th, I will be married for 4 years! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! And by August 11, hubby and I will make a whopping 10 years together! I am blessed to say that I stuck with the right guy ;). With that said, I feel so happy I wanna share some of that with you! I've been itching to do a giveaway but I'm not sure how to get it out there yet...so I think I'll give it some time until May 27th to officially put together all the goodies but as a sneak peak, here's what I have so far...

Personally, I haven't tried them out yet, but I just bought some for myself yesterday so I'll be doing swatches for those soon.

Since this will be my first giveaway, I want it to be good...good as in I want to add stuff that polish lovers actually want to win! That's why I NEED YOUR HELP. Let me know what are some products you'd like to see in this giveaway (of course, for time's sake it'd be something that I can find locally where I wouldn't need to wait for shipping if I ordered online so that I can get his going by the 27th). In the mean time, here's China Glaze's Ruby Pumps

 

This polish was really easy to apply. The color is such a pretty red, I love it on me ;) It has a red base with tiny, fine glitters. I had to put two coats of seche vite to get the feel of a smooth top coat. I love it otherwise.

I took the picture last night because I couldn't wait till morning ^_^ but the color is pretty accurate in the picture above. This was taken indoor, under artificial lighting without flash.

NYX nail polish haul, Burt's Bee, and NOTD

I just couldn't resist on passing on this purchase. At $1.59 a bottle, you can't go wrong! I was so happy =)

Excited as I was when I got home, I couldn't wait to try out the polishes. They don't even have a top coat on! i just wanted to take a picture of it. This one is with NXY's Woman and Dynamic Glitter.

I wanted to share my beloved cuticle cream that I can't leave the house without. I love how it quenches my cuticles when they're dry. And the smell...oh the smell, just so lemon-y fresh!

I'd like to do a giveaway soon but I don't know what to giveaway...of course nail polish (duh) but as far as what brand and other extras. The reason for the giveaway? Just because i'm feeling a bit generous. So please a little help on what would be a great first giveaway! =)
